Does anyone have a source for a 12 volt electric wiper motor that will fit in a 1937 Chevy truck ? Needs to fit underneath the blank covers.
Thanks

When I started searching to replace my two vacuum wiper motors on my Grumman several years ago with two electric motors, I ended up getting WEXCO motors from Grainger. As I recall, there were several models to select from based on size and shaft length, etc.

The ones I got work just great, but the motors are too big to go in your 37. I have a 41, so I know about the limited space up there. But, you may find a model that will work for you. If you do, let me know. I have two electric motors for my 41, but don't know if they work yet and I will be getting to that point in my build this season.....I hope.

Good luck!

Correction: Looks like I got the switch from Grainger, but I got the wiper motors, arms, and blades from Zoro Tools.

You might look into getting the vacuum motors rebuilt and power them with a small vacuum pump. https://www.surpluscenter.com/Air-P.../12-Volt-DC-11-HG-Vacuum-Pump-4-1831.axd This one should do it.

Jim Carter and Chevs of the 40's both list electric wiper equipment for 36 to 38"s. Everything from complete dual kits to bare motors. How they fit I couldn't say. I'm quite a way from needing wipers on my project.

I had the vacuum motors rebuilt on my '37 years ago, 15 at least, and they still work really good. I run a 250 inch engine that provides plenty of vacuum. Mine actually run too fast at full vacuum. Even at that, they do little to clean the windshield due to the little down force the springs provide. I use a lot of wax on the glass to help when cleaning bugs off, so water really isn't a problem anyway. In the 20 years I have own the truck, I've been caught in the rain twice and heavy fog once.
