Excuse my ignorance. Is that a Blue Chip GMC truck or a Task Force Chevrolet truck?
Late 1955: - GMC Blue Chip trucks had standard 6v positive ground, but I think that 12v negative ground was an option - Chevrolet Task Force trucks were standard 12v negative ground
Don't for get to check for stuck valves before you turn it over-oil the valve stems, tap the valve end of the rockers with a rubber hammer or 2 x 4 to make all the valves move, if stuck, bent pushrods might occur.
