I started cleaning up the motor to get it ready, and need help identifying what I have. The HEAD Number is: 3835913. On the boss beside the distributor is stamped: KBA733764. I know this is a replacement engine along about 1993, but need to identify it so I can get parts. The flywheel also has 9 bolts to hold the pressure plate on. What do I have? Thanks!

Just posted the engine serial number info to your question about the clutch... then saw this post. Anyway, the first three digits of the engine serial number that you see stamped on the pad by the distributor decodes it (the lower end) to a '52 Series 3100 216ci Truck Engine. See: Early Chevy Engine Serial Number ID. The head casting number IDs that as a '54-55 235 truck head. Interesting combination! See: Early Chevy Block & Head Casting Numbers.
