Ice Cream!, Will there be Ice Cream? At least it's about a hundred miles closer, Thanks Grigg II and Grigg III for hosting this epic event!
What tools should I bring?

A homecoming in Virginia sounds wonderful ! It might even be 3 miles closer for me too !! My friend Seab King thoroughly enjoyed his first homecoming last year and has already told me that he wants to come back !!
Just checked and it will be about 200 miles closer for Andy and I. I may have a Pontiac on the trailer for the event! Think John will drive his new Ford?

I have two. A 54 that can be road worthy and a 51 that needs a lot of TLC. Both have the straight eight flathead engines. https://www.flickr.com/photos/149052261@N05/30855524357/in/dateposted-public/

Can one of the ODSS crew help me out? There's a 235 engine and 3 speed trans available in West Virginia, (ZIP code 25430) but it needs to be moved before I head east for Homecoming in April. Can someone pick it up and hold it for me until then? I'll be glad to cover travel expenses and storage costs! I'd hate to see this one go to scrap! Thanks in advance! Jerry

I'd be glad to Jerry, That's not far from me at all. Even if it were, I'd still be happy to.

Nothing against the old venue, but staying in the Shenandoah Valley and not driving through the city is a sweet deal. If I'm not out west exploring, I'll be there.
Dang, only 4 hours from me, but i will be in Carlisle that weekend, even Further Away !:!
Not to far from Natural Bridge, been there a few times

So my son and I are making plans to come, IF my daughter is done her university exams before this weekend. She has way too much stuff coming from her dorm and projects from first-year of industrial design to come by train or even wife's car.. may even need to rent a cap for the pickup. Hopefully she's fine early enough in week to go north then come south to homecoming
Bump -- Homecoming page is updated. If you haven't registered yet, now would be a good time.
If you want to eat -- you must register If you want directions to Homecoming -- you must register

Heck Yeah Spartan!! Tim and I will be in a Ford, with a 59 Chevy camper shell. But be ready to get dirty, learn or teach. It's a working, learning weekend. Plus you get to meet the original gang.

Awesome. I will see if I can make it work. I've been looking for an excuse to visit back east anyway. I've never been. Arlington is on my short list of places to visit.
Spartan Tim and I will be staying downtown Memphis, Saturday or Sunday night. One block from Beale street. You are more than welcome to join us on this road trip. If you don't mind hanging with a Redneck and an Kiwi!

Don, I'm about 200 miles east of Memphis, close to the Alabama state line. It might be possible to caravan across Tennessee and Virginia if we can coordinate a little. You're probably going to be on I-40, right? Jerry

Meet us in downtown Nashville Sunday You can show us around. I assume you will be driving your Dodge. We'll be in my old Ford with a 59 Chevy camper shell. (59 pickup bed turned upside down). Then head thru Gatlinburg and over to N.C. Maybe swing down to see Alvin if he is not going to be at the Homecoming. The Greasy Spoon is where I'll be posting about the road trip. https://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1305141/road-trip.html#Post1305141
These plans are very fluid and can change overnight! Don

Chris Let me know if you'll be at the lake this summer. Maybe we can meet up and have a cold one or two!
Leo Sure wish you could make it again. You are about the only one that can keep Tim and I out of trouble.
