I'm planning on installing a 305 SBC with a 700 R4 in my 1955-2 Chevy 3600 truck. This is a second series truck.

I'm seeing basically two types available:

a. an adjustable tubular mount which spans between the frame rails with supports reaching upwards towards the engine side mounts

b. two separate bracket mounts, each which independently hangs from the left or right frame rails reaching up towards the engine side mounts.

Which type is best?

I found the one piece tubulars would not work on my ‘62 so I went with the singles. Fit ok with a little grinding for a closer fit.

I believe they came from Summit Racing.
