another dumb question..
i have a 59 apache with the standard heater. the inlet is 3/4" and the outlet is 5/8". i bought just 3/4" hose and have 3/4" fittings at the thermostat and water pump.
will i be ok if i use the 3/4" hose over the 5/8" male outlet on the heater with a 3/4" old style clamp or do i really need 5/8" hose too?

I have done worse too but its not worth the chance of splitting the hose or blowing off. It looks bad to someone familiar with these trucks. You can get a fitting to replace the one in the therm. housing. I can't imagine why it would have a 3/4 " fitting to began with.
