Hi - does anyone have pics of the petcock and feed line at the bottom of the in-cab fuel tank for the COE trucks?

Thx,
Derek

I am not near my COE but the setup is the same as for the standard cab. See Jim Carter (oldchevytrucks.com) and look at his part #s MEG108 for the shutoff valve and ME456 for the flex hose.

Thx Kent! I had bought https://www.classicparts.com/1949-53-Fuel-Tank-Petcock/productinfo/23%2D453/ but it doesn't appear the long end of the nipple will thread into the bottom of my tank? From what I can tell from the different sites, it should...I wonder if I need an intermediate fitting?

The tank outlet threads are 1/8 inch national pipe (tapered). I understand some repop tanks don't have the correct threads. If you have a replacement tank that may be the problem.

dhjmd,
The intermediate fitting, as you refer to, is included with the classic parts petcock. That is the verticle pipe in the picture that is threaded into the valve and threads directly into the tank. If that doesn't fit then klhansen may be correct in that some repop tanks have metric pipe threads. If that is not the case then perhaps you could chase the tank threads with a 1/8 pipe thread tap. There are no other parts necessary to reproduce the factory fuel line out of the tank. Let us know how you fare.

Thx guys! My truck had the original tank that I was aware of. I got it done. I ended up rethreading the fitting and tapping my tank to match. Not ideal but did the job. Thx again all!
