Wanting to use a 216 Housing (Delco-Remy Tag) with my 235 "guts". Will this work?

There were different sizes of 235 housings 1941-1962.

I believe there's a difference in height when the tall cap and rotor is used with a dizzy intended for the short rotor which can cause a mismatch when distributor parts are swapped around.
