Hello from the beautiful Flathead Valley in the heart of Northwest Montana! I've got a 1961 C10 that is my baby. Love it out here!

Colorado Springs - Free car show, August 11th at Brayla Weddings & Events located at 2165 Academy Pl., 9 am until 12 pm. Let's fill the parking lot with Stovebolts! I'm planning on bringing one out. Hope to see you there to chat about these classics.

Have a '60 ¾ ton (2wd) - I need a second set of eyes
on my truck - should I rebuild the existing 235 ?
Drop in a 350 with auto for daily driver ?
Drives ok, but need lower ratio axle - pretty sure 4.57.
... you know, the Eaton HO one.
If I change axle, could also change tranny/engine.
[ would keep 235 / 4spd and rebuild over time ]

Any volunteers ?
( in Wheat Ridge )

dbwr, you have many options with that truck.

I had a 66 GMC. It originally came with an inline 6. It also sported an LS6 454, a 400, a 350, a 305 and now a built 350. They all pretty much "bolt in", other than exhaust when going from the 6 or 454 to the SBC.

Rugo, I have not seen many 47 5 windows so I jumped at the chance to own it. No Vin tag, but I've searched long enough to know the quirks of a 47 over a 48.

By chance does anyone know where I might find a driver side rear fender?

I was fortunate enough, not to have to try to find body parts, when we moved down to this area. So, I don't have any sure fire places for you. However, I would sure think that you could find one at a wrecking yard, that specializes in vintage vehicles. Or, you can contact Joe Mendola "Mothertrucker". He is down in Tucson. He has about everything, parts related to AD trucks. His email is: mothertruckeraz@aol.com Those would be the two directions I would take, if I were you. Hope that it helps you out.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good day to you all whenever you all get to check into Rocky Mountain Bolters (RMB). We are spread out pretty far from each other but also close enough that a day trip or a weekend getaway is possible. I travel across I10 and looking forward to exploring more north. If I happen to be in your neck of the woods/desert, I’ll reach out to ya and see if ya would be interested in a cup of joe and or a bite to eat.

I make it a point to reach out to family, friends and acquaintances on every trip I make now. I've been so close or had folks so close but not made the time to even make a grip n grin too many time.

I was in Sierra Vista the monday before thanksgiving for a day and a half. I'd like to move down there, but the altitude is too much for my wife. (she wants to move closer to sea level)

If you ever come as far as El Paso, I always have beer and food. Maybe we can attempt a get together somewhere. The Texas bolters are spread out as well. Having a hard time finding anyone close.

Mr Rugo,
Your just out side of Phoenix which is a few hrs down the street, I can see us meeting up for a cup of coffee and getting to know the neighbors down the street, I’ll have to look at my calendar because we’re about to take a trip to TX and visit some family for the holidays.

New Colorado member and new to the older GMC trucks, have had a couple GMC 2500HD's. Looking if there is anyone around my neck of the woods that has any resources for parts. Recently acquired a 1959 GMC 100 potentially a fleet option that has been sitting in Lochbuie for over 20 years.

Just got my 1951 5 window Chevy 3100 running! Sat for 18 years but now back on the road. Complete with new handmade Colorado blue stain pine bed. Got lots of leftover parts.
