GM provided no engine paint code information (that has ever been posted here). There is a lot of disagreement over the shade of gray or blue gray for various years of Chevrolet 216 and 235 engines. Here is a list made by a VCCA member/expert.Some people think the shade of gray for low-pressure 216/235 was a darkish gray-blue, and high-pressure 235 truck (mechnaical lifter) engine color was a lighter gray (like a Ford engine gray). The high-pressure, hydraulic lifter, automobile 235 engine was Blue Flame Blue (a light blue). I'm using the same color to paint my 261 when it is finished. Common color, you can buy it at Autozone for $7/can.
