Doing a complete "redo" of my '50 3100. I say redo because not stock restoration and not rod or modern. I want to stay stock as possible with slight upgrades. I have a '51 front axle with Bendix brakes and '59 rear axle with same. I am now doing the brake lines and Master Cylinder. I am going to go with a stock single Master. My fifty had 1/4 inch lines and I had to run reducers to 3/16 lines at wheel cylinders. I look in the catalogs and see lines and MC's as 47-50 (Huck') '51 (one year only MC, what is the difference?) and 52-54 (if I remember correctly). I also see lines as 7 piece line sets for 50 to 51 and six piece for 52 to 54. This is getting confusing. I believe I want to go with 3/16, lines, don't know if 6 or 7 pieces, and 52 or newer master cylinder(less expensive}. Does anyone have a clue as to such things and what would be the best setup? You want to watch the diameter of the master cyl. It should match the era of brakes you are putting on. I think the pedal hookup is the same. The difference is in the line hookup. Some T off at the rear of the master cyl. & others along the frame.
