I say redo because not stock restoration and not rod or modern. I want to stay stock as possible with slight upgrades. I have a '51 front axle with Bendix brakes and '59 rear axle with same. I am now doing the brake lines and Master Cylinder. I am going to go with a stock single Master. My fifty had 1/4 inch lines and I had to run reducers to 3/16 lines at wheel cylinders. I look in the catalogs and see lines and MC's as 47-50 (Huck') '51 (one year only MC, what is the difference?) and 52-54 (if I remember correctly). I also see lines as 7 piece line sets for 50 to 51 and six piece for 52 to 54. This is getting confusing. I believe I want to go with 3/16, lines, don't know if 6 or 7 pieces, and 52 or newer master cylinder(less expensive}. Does anyone have a clue as to such things and what would be the best setup? Thanks in advance. Steve O | | |
