Well I have been silent but have been searching for the wheel studs. Was to the point of having shamrock bolt make some on there CNC equipment. They suggested Arkansas trailer, I talked to a very helpful individual there name of Gary, He came up with a Gm part number of 704173. This is still available from euclid and is 3.63 inches long just a tad more than needed I hope. (E8961 is the Euc number) Went to Napa today see if they might have just one or two but Napa has none on hand anywhere. Local guys says it takes them weeks if they have never had on hand. So will try fleetpride tomorrow and see if available thru them. I need that little boy to say a prayer for me. Tomm

Hy Tomm, Have you tried contacting your local GM dealer parts department? I have found no other crossovers other than Napa p/n NOE 6413251. I tried inputting the p/ns at RockAuto, but no results there. I will keep looking for a while but not for too long.

Hy Tomm, okay I did a bit more searching, Truck Components, toll free 1-813-933-1166 has their p/n 13-2006 which is an 11/16" thread .755" knurl 3.56" o.a.l. wheel stud which their description says replaces GM. This stud is over 3 1/2" long where the others are only 3 1/4" long, it appears to have the correct knurl diameter. I could not get a price as I am a ludite and couldn't figure out how to get them in my "shopping cart", hope this helps. Please let us know the results.

Thanks for that extra tidbit of information. Don't know what google search terms took you to them. When I was at Napa yest. the parts guy did call the Gm dealer and it was a no didn't mention any supersession. Fleetpride was no help today. Will probably give arkansas trailer a shot first since I went to the dance with them. Tomm

Looks like these guys have the Euclid studs. I buy a lot from these guys.

Fleetpride has access to Euclid, but their people are too stupid to find them. Napa isn't much better. I buy over a half a million dollars worth of parts a year for my fleet. I buy just about everything online because I think all the people that could read a catalog have retired.

Got some studs coming from "finditparts" Thanks crenwelge Had not talked to anyone who used them. Will Post when I get them.

I went to NAPA and got Napa p/n NOE 6413251. It was correct for everything except for the diameter at the thread. It was just a tad bit too big for the nuts. Its for a '54 6100.

OK to use larger nuts if they fit the wheel properly.

Well I should have said it is also just a bit too big to fit the hub. I believe that my studs are 5/8" diameter and the one I bought must be 11/16

Will your wheels handle an 11/16 stud? Are your wheels hub or stud centered? If hub has 5/8 holes, easily carefully drilled out to proper size.

I am going to hunt a little more. It's got a .68 diameter at serrated end with I believe to be a 5/8 fine thread which would be 18. I need the thread to be 2.25 inches.

5/8" is .625", 11/16" is close to what you have.

I think he is saying 5/8” thread and larger almost 11/16” over the knurled shank.

The serrated part is .68".

I believe the thread diameter to be 5/8". I say this because I can get a 5/8" nut started but I can only find coarse threaded and the stud is fine threaded.

I did find the correct studs at O'Reilly's and it is a 5/8" thread.
