I think I'd like to get a Fulton visor for my 1951 3100 but I'm confused about the different models. First, what model or models fit this truck? I've been told that I need a model 805 or 1000. Second, how would I know a model 805 or 1000 (or any other model for that matter!) just by looking at them? There are always a bunch of them on ebay but very few state the model number. Is the model number stamped anywhere on the visor or on the brackets? Is there any definitive way to identify these things??? I'd hate to spend a lot of money for an ill-fitting visor. Any help would sure be appreciated!

I just checked mine and it doesn't show a model number on it that I could find. The main differences that I've seen are the brackets. You have brackets for a split windshield and others for a solid windshield. This site might give you some additional information.

Here's some info I found:

If the wings are squared off at the ends, it is an 807 series.
If the edges are rounded where it meets the cab near the drip rail, it is an 800 series.
1000 series, the only visor that has a stainless/chrome trim along the leading edge of the wings.

Good link Curt. Although the first pic isn't really clear, I'm glad it shows the dogbones mounting on the door jams with the lip of the flange inside the door. I can't tell you how many I've seen screwed to the drip rail.

if you go under google you can also find the article from classic trucks were they put a fulton on rf's truck good article.but it can get pretty confusing there are several type brackets and single and double arms that raise it up and down it can give you a quick headache.....dave
