I have asked this one before and never really gotten an answer so I am trying it again to see if there has been any updates. I have started dropping oof part for final body work and paint and I am in need of the modern paint codes for Brewster Green and kildare green from PPG. If there is anybody out there that has been able to get these codes, it would be greatly appreciated. Better yet, if you have the codes along with a photo, it would be even that much better. I have (like many of you) spent a large amount of time and money towards my truck and do not want to get this one wrong (very expensive error).

I am too far away to directly help you on this, but if you have any sample of the color you are looking for, it should be able to be matched. I used to sell Sikkens paint and have colormap books that have actual painted blocks with holes in the center for matching colors. They are organized by color and shade, not year and make like most books, which makes it much easier to match colors. I recently helped a guy at work get a late model code for his 29 Harley that he is restoring. If there is a local paint store that sells Sikkens, they should be able to help you out if you have any kind of sample. Some brands also now have computer matching, which I have not had as good of luck with. Anyway, good luck.

I should have mentioned that the Sikkens book can get you a late-model factory code which you can then use to get a PPG code. That way you are not stuck using a brand of paint that you are not familiar with.

Thanks for the info. I believe what I am going to do is order the paint from Carters in the PPG DBU and see what I get.

Anybody have experience with the paint match from Carter's?

If you can read the code, here it is.

Brewster Green

I also am using Sikkins paint and am very pleased with the product.
