I had to install a hydraulic throwout bearing for my 58 (76 350 SBC0 2 ton truck, but since I installed it, it keeps chewing up my bleeder hose. The problem stems from the fact that they attached the bearing to the body, not the ram, so when I push on the pedal, the hoses are shoved into the clutch, damaging them.

I am looking for a stationary body Throwout bearing that can fit a stock clutch affair. Any one here know of a good one?

I have always been of the impression that RAMs don't work with a stock clutch, Maybe I was mistaken? the description doesn't say, instead it describes a clutch. have you worked with these styles? is the bearing attached to the ram, not the cylinder?

The illustration shows the pressure line and the bleeder attached to the main housing, which bolts to the bearing retainer. You might want to give JEGS' technical department a call to see which clutches that one will accommodate, or maybe they can suggest an alternative. I used to do a lot of business with them when we ran a round track car- - - -not so much recently.
