My radiator is shot. Got a price on re-coring it and it was ~$725. I want to keep it as close to original looking as I can without breaking the bank but I am not a purist. New Aluminum can be had for ~$200, but would like an original looking copper/brass one instead. Wondering where is the best place to get one? The best I have found via google is classic industries for $415.

The price will then magically appear.

It is also brass. As I recall it was a little over $400 without any discount. Right now Jim Carter has a pretty good discount in effect (current discount code is LD18} only good for a short time. | | | | | Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,744 24601 | | 24601 Joined: Nov 1995 Posts: 5,744 | FWIW, I bought my 3804's replacement radiator from Jim Carter's Antique Truck Parts for about that price and it is identical to the original one. 2 years later and I am very pleased with it. Jim has been a long-time supporter of stovebolt.com so if you gave him your business, I would certainly appreciate it. Not sure if the Stovebolter 10 percent off discount is still in effect, but it never hurts to ask. Thanks, John

It places the pump back in the center of the radiator and greatly improves cooling vs. using the stock 235 pump and location. If you do a search there is a lot of information about this and one of the forum members sells a plate to help accomplish that. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | | | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 245 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 245 | | | |
