Before I set the fresh 235 back in the 54, I bought all new motor mounts from Jim Carter in Independence. The sleeves in my old motor mounts are shot and it's a shame that they are not offered to go along with the rear mounts because after seeing mine, I can't imagine any others are re-usable.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a source for the sleeves. I looked at a section of small pipe today at the local farm store and the ID looks ok (1/2 inch), but the OD is just slightly bigger than my old sleeves and I am afraid the pipe won't fit the hole in the bottom half of the mount.
Thanks!!
Kevin

It bottoms in the mount to serve as a spacer. George They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. The pipe I found today may work then. I figure the pipe serves basically as a limiter so when you torque the bolt down, it don't mash the mount. Thank you!! Kevin
