They even ruined a bit of the original sound dampener too. Not sure where they got the other fluff for their nest nothing like it in the drive shed... need to find ways of keeping the monsters from gaining access there and a better fitting headliner. Fits like most have mentioned, good but some gaps.

We live on the edge of the woods and have a perennial stream of mice vermin trying to invade our house and vehicles. I have found that the best offence is a strong defense. If they are getting into the truck, you obviously have a gap/opening somewhere. Find that breach and devise a method to make a durable barrier. Ive always used coarse steel wool. They hate it and will head the other way.
Just make sure all the entry points are stuffed with it also.
And......it doesnt hurt to have 5 or 6 pet kitty kats around

| | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 1,611 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 1,611 | I found that with deco model trucks, there are two places in the original design that allow mice unimpeded access to the header panel and headliner. Without some sort of baffle or "mouse guard", nothing stops mice from getting inside the cab. I fabricated a couple of simple structures that sealed off the openings and so far have had to unwanted vermin. Instead of steel wool, I use pieces of perforated sheet metal to block access through a-pillars and such. The perforated metal still allows the body to breath/drain and does not promote rust.
Cats work great but I have never been able to teach one how to discern mice from birds. Snakes are great too, I have a monster 7 foot king snake working in my shop...the only problem is that they only work part-time. | | | | | Joined: May 2017 Posts: 100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2017 Posts: 100 | They make stainless steel, steel wool no rust problems at all
