so i'm mounting my standard heater and today i struggled with the heater bracket near the vent hoses. Does the bracket mount to the bottom of the dash or does the bracket rest/sit inside the dash? everything so easy causes me headaches....i've attached a picture of what i'm referring too....
thanks Mike.... Not to familiar with a spring nut, but I'll look online to see as in theory i understand the concept due to the cab vibration etc. i have the shop/production manual but can't find a pic or the section that specifically relates to the heater and how it mounts..

If Bill had it on top, go with that. I went out to the garage just now to look at two heaters I have (1956 and a 1957) and neither of them have the bracket, so the 58/59 heaters must be different than the 55-57. So now I'm second guessing myself...happens with age!
