I already miss you guys. I could use a second set of hands as I attempt to trouble shoot the stalling/fuel issue.

Oh no. Stalling? Not a great way to start.

Find any locals yet?

I am not down in Texas yet. I tried to give s few people rides at different stops to visit family. At my parents in Missouri, they have an old school mechanic that I talked to. I have not talked to the Stovebolt gang in Missouri yet. I am trying to rule out little things before I get them involved.

Be careful Chris that Missouri bunch is just a little off center, if you know what I mean. I think Don still glows in the dark. chug

Doesn’t surprise me! A week from Monday, I will be rolling through to Oklahoma City, Dallas the next day and then west through Texas.

Who is this Don guy with a memory that glows in the dark?
Must be an ufo alien. eeeek

Chris
Let me know where you are at and I may be able to help or come by and visit.
Although, I have never had much luck, rebuilding carbs.

Edit: As I remember, your parents are in the Lake of the Ozarks area.
Vicki and I were there this past weekend.

Just talked to Chris and he had talked to Carbking.
Jon told Chris that it does not sound like a carb problem.
Especially, when Jerry rebuilt the carb, at last years Homecoming.
Jon thought it was the distributor brain that shot craps.

This is not a "on the side of the road event".
Chris is on vacation at his parents lake house, right on the water and his family.
He also has his trailer to get it on down to Texas.

I'd say drink a few cold ones, swim and BBQ.
Worry about the truck later.
Also take a lot of pictures of the time spent there with family.

Chris, If you take the kids up to the main LOZ strip to go-cart ride or whatever.
There are a lot of things to do in that area.
Call me and I may meet you and your family for lunch.
Windyville (Stovebolt Member) is also not far from where you are at.

Cool! I am just gathering info at this time while the kids are with grandpa and grandma. I took the carb off, going to check for debris plugging passageways tonight. Other than that, I will use the hill to roll truck back into trailer and work on her in Texas.

Good news, dismantled the carburetor, cleaned it really good, reassembled it and running great. Did a 3 mile test drive without issues. Hopefully, longer test drive tomorrow will be just as uneventful.

Back to fishing!

30 minute drive, no issues! I would bet that was my issue. Thanks for the support and assistance! Now it’s time to cruise around lake of the ozarks with it!

Good work, Chris! Have fun -- we have lots of fun memories from stuff we did enroute executing PCS orders ...

Well, here is the update!

Arrived in el passo, TX last Wednesday. Holy crap it’s hot here! They set the record for most days over 100 degrees at 28 In a row, I think. I am seriously debating if I need a bigger engine for an air conditioner in the truck. Once I move into the new house next Monday, I will send pictures of the new place. I pray that this finds you all with no skinned knuckles, truck still driving and health is still good.
