For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 53 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 53 | I'm about ready to start the body work on my 59 truck. I need to replace the cab corners, steps & lower door hing pockets. I will be using a lap joint when welding the patch panels. Do the panel flangers that are sold by Eastwood work well ? They look like a modified vice grip.
Thanks Clem

One was about 2" wide and the other was about 1/2" wide. Used the smaller of the 2 for around curves. Made really good flanges for me. It'll give ya Popeye arms after your finished using em. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 121 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 121 | I picked up a fairly inexpensive air flanger from our local Princess Auto store. Made in China ( of course ) and cost about $70. Works absolutely great! Unless you want Popeye arms?

Got one on sale a while back because it was so cheap, however I don't recall what the list price was. Denny Graham Sandwich, IL
