I'm doing a farm cleanup here in western Kansas and have found some headlights that are in really good condition and I need identified. They are the teardrop shaped housing with the marker light on top like the '40s Chevy trucks have on them. My question is, are the '41 thru '47 truck headlights all of the same? There is also a set of headlights that are HEAVY with the cast iron mounting bracket, that may be late 30's headlights. Is there someone that could PM me their e mail address so I can send pictures for identification? I don't understand the picture posting process here on Stovebolt. If I could, I'd put them on here. Thanks in advance Jon Patton Tribune, Ks.
Pretty easy to post a pic....but then again.....most things are easy if you know how to do them Did you take a look at the Posting Image link in the lower left had column? If you post a pic, you'll get a quick answer. I have a 41 and I believe 41-46 are the same.

I appreciate the help guys, but like I said I don't understand the process. My wife and I both tried to resize the pictures to 300kb (the one I tried showed it was 230kb), so I don't know why it wouldn't work in the first place. Some time ago my daughter showed me how to send pictures in an e mail, so that's why I suggested that. IF she was here she might be able to walk me through the resizing, but she isn't here. Thanks anyway JP
I e mailed all 3 pictures to your private e mail . When I did I saw that they were indeed more than the 230kb amount that I mentioned. Don't know where for sure that I got that figure. Thanks for the help. JP
Tim, thanks for helping by hosting photos for those of us computer challenged.

Thank you! I thought that they looked a little bit different. I'll have to go out there and see if the other pair are just like them, or the later series. Any idea what the other light might fit? JP
