I have a 1950 3100 216. Bought this radiator support and the side mounts just don't line up. https://www.classicparts.com/1947-54-Radiator-Support-Chevrolet/productinfo/78-518/ Has anyone had issues like this with a repro? Would love pics of your mount if you have it, it's been so long I barely recall but think I'm doing it right. I could drill into the panels but that seems odd to do with new part. The vendor said the same or return. Thanks.
Hi, here are pics of my radiator support , could you please provide another picture of your support showing the top as well as the sides and the bottom ? It would help me better understand the issue. I have to ask, is it installed correctly ? If the support is built correctly and you rotated it 180, the sides would be "offset" to the rear instead of the front.
On these pics I'm showing the "front" side of the radiator support as it would be looking at it from the front of the truck, the one side view is what it would look like viewing from the passenger side. Note that the "sides" are offset forward from the bottom where it attaches to the frame.

Well, I'm stumped. I have a 1954 and there may be a difference between 1950 and 1954 Radiator supports. One other concern is that if you were to "drill" out the holes in the inner fender I don't think the fender supports would be in the correct location to line up with the fenders when you go to install them? Hopefully other more knowledgable Bolters will chime in but I'm going to suggest you think about returning what you purchase from Classic and have you contact RPM Motorsports or Mongo's Garage to get you a used one, at least then you'll know it will fit right without modification. I'm very surprised that Classic even suggested you drill the holes, that's just plain wrong in my opinion, it either it's made to fit your year/model or its not. Anyway please post your resolution and maybe save some other Bolter a heartache.

The whole front end of a stovebolt relies on all the bolts being engaged in all holes. Any bolts left out will allow distortion and bolt holes not being lined up.

Hello, did you resolve your problem yet? I have the same truck 50, had the original 216, but it quit. Now installing a 55, 235. I can send you pics of what I have, I did not remove the radiator support. Michael
