Has anyone painted their motor with anything but “engine” paint? Does it get too hot for regular car paint? I’m only painting the block, side cover and the valve cover. Plus the timing cover and everything on the front.
I used high temp for the manifolds.

Can’t begin to tell you how much I hate the name Stovebolt.
| | | | | Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 678 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 678 | I've used everything from automotive acrylic enamel to cheapo rattle can on engines. It all stays on fine. From my experience, high-temp paint isn't necessary on engines.
