Here’s some background, 1962 Chevy C10 short stepside. Original 235 and 3 speed. Original X frame. My overall plan is V8, auto transmission, power steering, power brakes (disc front, drum rear) and A/C. I have the engine and tranny and of course the truck. My question, to those of you who have done this, can you tell me what parts, including part numbers if you can, I need to gather up? Things like motor mounts, power steering components, power brake components and drive train components. I’ll be using an aftermarket steering column and a Lokar Nostalgia shifter. Please help out a fellow Bolter with constructive advice. BTW, for those purists among us, the original I-6 and 3 speed will not go to the scrap yard. All your help is appreciated and will be archived in my build book. Thanks

I have used them. You need the whole front clip taken off at least. I seem to remember that disc brakes are difficult on torsion bar suspension. Power steering and brakes have many options, donor and aftermarket. Torsion bar suspension does create problems for some of that I think. Better study the internet for 60-62 swaps. Generally power steering is mounting a box and hooking up to column with universal joints. Then plumb it up. That part is straight forward. The only difficult part is pitman arm and drag link. Here are the cross members I speak of. Speedway Motors 91018212 for motor. 91628903 or 91628905 for trans. End caps 91618010

Lots of kits available but very pricey. Same with disc brakes. The engine/tranny crossmembers are more reasonable. Guess I’ll see how deep my pockets are. Thanks

That will give you power steering and disc brakes. One hole to relocate on each side for cross member the other two fit. also need to remount the top attachment point for the shocks. You loose the torsion bars for coil springs but that allows you more options. The wheels will be 5 studs now, do you change the front hubs back to six or change the rear to five.
The booster and master cyl. from the donor truck can also be used. Detailed instructions can be found on this site.
Good luck and have fun. Howie
