Hey guys, I'm new around here. I have a 54 3100 that I just started a build journal for if you guys wanna go check it out. But I'm here with carb questions. The old fuel system had some heavy rust in the tank and lines. Truck ran fine but while replacing the tank and lines, I'm also replacing the fuel pump and rebuilding the carb. What I'm looking for is a recommendation for a good complete carb rebuild kit. Also, as you can see the stock fuel filter setup is no longer here, so I'm wondering what I need to set it back up the correct way. Thanks!

Also does the return spring setup look correct on this?

When the truck wasn't running the gas pedal would stick down, I'm wondering if the return spring isn't correct or if I need a new one. I appreciate any and all help, thanks in advance!

The spring install is not quite correct but an easy fix.

This is a parts catelog listing for the carbs, might be helpful.

When referring to carburetor kits, the word "complete" has different "meanings" to different individuals.

We can furnish a major overhaul kit (CS-330); and will be happy to discuss the entire contents of the kit if you call. That way you can determine if your "complete" and my "major" are compatible.

Good carburetion is fuelish hot air
The most expensive carburetor is the wrong one you attempt to modify.

I ordered this kit here, looks pretty complete. The truck was running good before I took the carb off so I don't suspect anything major being wrong with it.... hopefully!

Does your accelerator pump look like the one in the kit you ordered?
The pic is blurry. Can't see if it the "stem" is flat or round.

Also make sure your air horn gasket is correct.

Other accelerator pump & 2 different air horn gaskets
