Working to get my truck on the road and need to get the parking brake operational. The 41 has a 350/700r with one piece driveshaft. I would like to use the original parking brake pieces. I have the handle - which I guess mounted to the transmission, right? If so, how did it mount?
I also have the rod that attaches to the bottom of the handle - but how?
I'm hoping I can make a bracket and get it operational with the original pieces, but need some help understanding how it goes together. I've looked at some manuals, but didn't help me.
Thanks for your help.

Victor,
Check eBay there are a lot of parts for the brake system.

Here are some photos that may help you.

Thanks Harold....very helpful.

So it looks like the rod going to the rear cables attaches to the bottom bolt of the of the lever and the two holes in the alligator jaws (I don't think that's GM's official name for it :)) locking the lever in place attached to the transmission. Is that correct?

Thanks again for your help.

Here is how I attached the lever to the side of a Lokar transmission mounted floor shifter on the back of a T350 automatic transmission. It wasn't to hard to figure out where to drill a few holes. You could make a bracket to bolt to the transmission, then mount the lever to it, just be sure the main rod coming from the back stays inline.

Thanks Joe. With that info and the help from Harold, I now know what I need to do. Much appreciated.
I'm getting much closer to taking the truck out for it's maiden voyage, and thought it might be a good idea to get the brake working first.
b/t/w you have a beautiful 37!
Thanks again guys.

I worked on it over the weekend. I won't be able to use the rod and brake handle because it interferes with the transmission tail shaft. I'll look for another option.
