Anyone got a picture of the correct headlight stands. I don’t know what the ones I have came off of ( part # gm 350777) but they don’t fit the original holes. They are close but no cigar.I have some for a 38 but they don’t fit either.

I don't have a picture, but the '37 truck used a stand that was sharp peaked and came to a pretty good point. Here is someone else for sale <CLICK>

Your 350777 are for '39 - '40. https://www.ebay.ie/itm/1939-1940-C...burban-/222917205368?hash=item33e6e69d78

I cannot believe the price of these things , I just bought a couple of headlight mounts for my '37 PU $5ea from our local vintage parts shed . Maybe I got lucky.

The pic Joe H shows in that ebay listing is the same as my '37.

Back when I was building my truck, a very informed member of this site told me the '37 stands were weak and broke easily, thats why they were hard to find. I went with the '39-'40 stands and drilled new holes for them in the core support.

Jim Carter has new reproduction ones which fit well on my '37. Other vendors may have them, as well.

Made a roll back wrecker by putting a 37 cab on a UD diesel chassis and fenders had to be widened to cover tires. Lights looked very tight together with wide fenders so made up some longer stands which was quite an easy fab job but when finished the head light hung out on a long stand was butt ugly so went with factory stands. Gist of the story is stands are not hard to make and when steel they are not fragile.

That's a mighty strange looking 216 sitting in the engine bay. grin

Yep, it's a 216 plus another 211. Had to recess firewall for distributor but not the whole engine. The truck is for hauling a 37 Chevy 409 powered Business Coupe. Neither vehicle is under powered.
