I'm in Colorado, please pardon the interruption. Just checking to see if anyone is going to the Lone Star Roundup in Austin this April? It's a nice show, lots of variety. It's early Wayne, we try to go every year, so we plan to be there we'll have to see. Eric, another Houston bolter, usually goes as well and drives his old truck. Suspect he'll pop up here shortly.

Time is growing near for the Roundup. If you are going to the show and get the time, stop by and say hi. We will be in the swap meet area. If you come in from the food trucks take your first left and we'll be down a few booths on the right with the steel art. We were in Houston the past week (at MD Anderson Cancer Center).....How you guys drive in that place?? Close your eyes and honk your horn? hehe
May be back sometime in June/July but not when the show is going on. Would love to see some Texas pickups.

Truck ran great on the way up Friday, show was fun. Saturday was ridiculously cold, but we still managed to have a good time. Truck ran great on the way home, but the speedometer took a dump, so there's a new project on the to-do list...

EBS..... did you go to the swap meet either day? I had every intention of going this year, but plans changed at the last minute and I stayed in San Antonio. Man it was cold Saturday! I was hoping to find some parts for my ‘50 3100 at the swap meet. Did you see any AD parts there?

Glad it went well Eric. We didn't make it this year. Too many irons in the fire. Pretty crazy weather, but I was welding all day to day so appreciated the cool temps. What was the AD scene like this year?

Spotbiltxo, yes, we went through the swap meet Friday to see if there was anything good before it got bought up, and we spent a LOT of time in there Saturday to stay out of the wind and warm up a bit.

Saw a few AD bits here and there- some used fenders, some new stuff at Southwestern Classic, a steering wheel or two, and a few vintage Stovebolt dress up and performance parts.

Allen, AD scene was typical- lots of SBC or LS swapped lowered IFS trucks, probably 50/50 patina versus painted.

EBS..... really enjoyed your pics. Thanks for sharing! Now I know what I missed by not going. I especially liked the brown and tan bus, the copper colored car with gauges in the fire wall, and the dark gray bagged ‘36 Ford coupe. Hadn’t seen the bus there before.
I always enjoy seeing all the creativity on display. There are some really talented people out there who are good with metal and paint! Someone always has a different way of doing things, or can create a new look I haven’t seen before.

Nice job on pics Eric. Man I learn so much by going to that show. Tons of cool cars. My favorites were the COE with the Model A truck on the back, the Gold 54 AD.....that white interior would drive me crazy though, and I see the blown Model A's were back this year. Thanks for posting the pic's, almost like being there !
