I have one of those problems that seems to be consistant with alot of you guys. I open the drivers side door and it falls about 3 inches or so...I took the striker off and put a come along on it from the inside and flushed it so it looks tight with the cab. I was thinking...could I weld the Hinge area? Would that work? The Adjustment screws just keep turning,they will not tighten up..kinda stripped. Has anyone ever done this (welded)..Thanks MIke G.
Mike G. If I recall correctly I had a couple hinge holes stripped also...What I did was buy new bolts, only a little longer, and installed lock washers and nuts...I certainly would stay away from welding...JMO Bill B
