Do they have plain stainless and or polished stainless? How hard is it to replace the bed?
Who do you recomend to buy the wood from? Oak, pine or ash?

Its not to difficult to replace the bed.
All kinds of wood will do, mostly depends on how you will want to use it. Customer service was great and they shipped for free, these would be oversize for UPS otherwise because of the length.

So no matter where you get them they will probably be dropped shipped.
Think about it, how many companies are actually making parts any way.
