I ordered 2 gaskets from Amazon that were suppose to fit and they didn't. I then ordered the gasket from classic parts which did fit but didn't seal. That gasket was as thick as tissue paper and it wasn't a surprise it didn't seal. I should have listened to my gut and not even tried it. The original gasket looked like it may have been cork. Anyone have a part number for something decent? I have put in oil pan gaskets in the past that were steel coated with rubber on both sides. I would love to find something like that for this application. But I'm sure cork would work well. Keep in mind it's all in how you prepare the surfaces and gasket as to whether it leaks or not.
