What are they worth? He won't tell me what he wants for them, wants me to make an offer...whats a good deal?

Make an offer and commence the negotiation process. If you need a good, rust-free pair, they are worth whatever you are willing to pay. If you feel like the seller is holding you up, take your business elsewhere. New reproduction door shells are now available for $400.00-$500.00 each. Go used, OEM if you can, whereas they are a better fit and finish. The imitations are not the same quality, fit or finish. Good luck with your project.

But on the flip side, if you should happen to offer a little more than what he has in mind, he hasnt committed to anything and can get top dollar for them. I say offer him $100 just to get his reaction, then you should be able to get the price out of him. Then act uninterested and he will come down even more!
