All of the bushings have...well be smooshed over the 40 yrs of their life. Can these things be replaced without pulling the cab/frontend/etc?
What I am thinking is to work on one corner at a time. Loosen up the bolts, put in jack with some wood and lift up that corner. Pull out old stuff put in new stuff. Lower and re-bolt. Move on to other corner.
(This totally leaves out the fact that I ahve yet to come across one bolt that wasn't rusted solid...but ce la vie.)
Is this a possible approach? Has anyone tried this? What would I be getting into?

The kits usaully come w/new bolts etc. Your 1 ton should have the shear type mount on the rear, these will be tough as there is no replacement, but Steele rubber rebuilds them. Brian | | |
