| | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 151 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 151 | I've got my '46 Panel almost done. Now I'm lost with this goofy hood cowl windlace/weatherstrip. I got it from Amer. Classic and I've checked others and they are all the same part. But I just don't understand how this is supposed to be applied. I've got four pieces of weatherstrip, two long(48") and two short(10")and the clips/screws. I see the groove and screw holes across the top and down the side of the cowl. But when I place the strip there it is clearly higher than the body line. And I have no idea at all of where the two 10" pieces goes. I've checked everywhere I can find and can not find a good drawing or pic to show me. Can somebody help me out with this mess.

| | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 161 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 161 | I had the same issue with the weatherstrip I got from ACT for my 46 1/2 ton. I ended up not using the small strips. I took the long strips and set them in the groove on the truck to eye it up. I used the pre-existing holes that were in the grooves (I had three on each side) to use screws through the weatherstrip. I also used a weatherstrip adhesive on the strip as I put it down. It may not be how it was done originally but it is on there nicely and the hood shuts easily and snugly.
