Can anyone help me with the trim for the windshield? Does it go in after the windows are installed for before. What is the best process to get it in?

It goes in as a complete assembly.
Put the glass in the gasket (both sides).
Insert the stainless in the groove in the gasket (this can be a pain) use soapy water or glass cleaner as a lube to help you. Leave the center strip for last.
Turn assembly over and insert a 1/8 in rope into the groove for the pinchweld. Start and stop in the center of one of the windshields and over lap about an inch. Tape rope to the glass to hold it in place. Spray entire gasket with lube.
Using 2 people place the assembly into the opening and center it.
As 1 person holds the assembly on the outside, have the 2nd person go inside and start pulling on the rope (always pull towards the center of the glass) Pull one way and than the other, trying to pull even distances on both sides.
The person on the outside should follow the rope patting on the glass with an open hand to ensure the gasket seats. Do this all the way around til the rope pulls out. Again with an open hand pat the perimeter of the glass all the way around. If the gasket looks seated in the opening install the center strip.

Tip: You can slap the glass pretty hard with an open hand, just don't try to beat it in.

I put mine in dry. I used some tape from the back of the windshield to the front (over the gasket and installed trim) to hold the gasket and trim in place in about 5 or 6 places.

Make sure you check both sides of the windsheild to be sure it is centered in the opening. It will be hard to move if you start when it is off to one side.

Don't get in a hurry. Do it in the sunlight on a warm day so the rubber is more pliable.

On the Erwhipee truck the cab has an overhang on the top. The windshield had to be installed on the top first. Much easier with two people also.

Thanks Wilbur and Builder for the info. I'm glad I asked, I was going to have my window guy put the window in and then add the trim later. He told me the trim had to go in first but I wanted to ask the real experts (Stovebolters)before I made a fool of myself and insisted he put the windows in.

Just take your time and buy yourself a tool to help with the install. Don't pry on the windshield either.
