Question I have is what method do you all use in removing the sychros from the inside diameter of the drum? I hate to get medieval on it but there is no way to get behind it and give it a push.

If you have bought new brass rings then I guess you will want to remove it. They are attached with what looks like tiny dowels. I don't know how a new one would be secured. The brass part is center punched in four spots out into four holes in the drum. To ease remover of these, punch the brass back down through the holes.
