my C10 still has the original style fuse panel with the glass bulb fuses.
The fuse on the heater blower circuit, sometimes it wiggles just enough after I hit a bump or something and it breaks contact, the heater blower turns off.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to have this issue or something similar.
I am curious if there are any safe fixes some of you have come up with?
Thanks.

Sometimes the clips are just too far gone to salvage without replacing the whole fuse block. Jerry

Wrap a piece around each end of the fuse and put the fuse back in. Should tighten the fuse up enough to keep it from vibrating loose.ðŸ›

You can take the fuse out and abandon that circuit. Add a hot wire from somewhere else; thru an inline fuse to heater fan switch. No need to mess with, or solder to, the fuse panel.

It turned out the cause of the problem was an intermittent short in the trailer wiring. It would have probably been a better idea if he hadn't used a live round. When the short happened the next time, it got everybody's attention when the brass got red hot and lit off the powder. Good stuff and entertaining stories... haha.
I took the fuse out and checked the clips for wiggle, they seem solid. I don't know if the fuse itself was cracked before or broke while I removed it, as it was REALLY in there on the right hand side of the panel, but the glass was cracked, so I replaced it with a new fuse.
Before I did that tho', I bent the right side clip down a smidge, then snapped the new fuse into place.
So far no issues with the heater going off... but will keep an eye on it.
Thanks!
