1958 Chevy 235.
So I am trying to decide to go to a Mech. cam or a Hydraulic with my current build. Previous cam was a Hydraulic and I still have all the push rods from it. I know the earlier engines with the "milk can" style lifters had different lengths of push rods since the mech. lifters and the hydraulic lifters were different styles.
What about the later engines, 58-62? The lifters, though operationally different, appear the same dimensions from what all I can find. So, for a later model 235 engine, are the push rods different lengths for a mechanical cam and lifters versus a hydraulic cam and lifters?
Thanks!
