While you are changing tires now, it might be worth considering going to tubeless. Many tire shops will not touch split rims now, no matter what the style. What is your wheel bolt pattern? If it is 5/10 on 7.25, tubeless rims are hard to find but out there. Started with first tubeless in late '50's, look on farm trucks. 9" tires will fit on those wheels, are the most readily available size. About 36" OD.

Wider tires in the front will make it harder to turn.

8.25/20, is max on the front of a 4400, will work on the back though. 9.00/20 will work on front of a 6400, different axle.

The larger tires on front of an AD truck may, or will, limit how far you can cut the wheels in a turn. The larger tires rub at back of leaf springs.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I've got a good set of 8.25x20 I can use.
