I'm at the stage of buying patch panels for my 54 truck and wondering who has the best price and product for the money. I will have to get all the more common patchs so I was just going to get them all from the same place in one order.

the problem with buying all the patches from one place that I have found is that on some of your patches for example, LMC will blow everyone else away with the price, but then on the the other half of them, LMC is overpriced by quite a bit. Then you have to whichever companies shipping policy into account. I personally like Jim Carter's shipping policy....you tell them what parts you need, they tell you the ACTUAL shipping price, and then you pay just the actual price. I think LMC, Classic Truck Parts, and Jim Carter all have fairly decent prices. I suggest lining up all your parts catalogs pricing everything you need including shipping from each of them, and then ordering from whoever is going to get you the best rate. The quality seems to be just about the same with all suppliers across the board, so go with whoever is gonna save you some green!

I agree with 50Chevy. Be sure to look into all the shipping charges. From what I have looked at most of the prices are close enough for most items that the shipping is what really puts one company over the other. Most have a policy on free shipping if you order a certain amount depending on the parts. If you have the money to make a big order you may want to look at that and try to get in as much as possible.

I just recieved an outer cowl panel from Jim Carters last week, seems like a good piece. I never have the money so I order things one at a time and everytime I do I look through all the different parts suppliers catalogs. Sometimes different places have sales like online discounts and stuff like that. The stovebolt has links to pretty much all the parts suppliers.

I just ordered a few things from American Classic Truck Parts. I will let you know how they are. I figured since they are a sponsor of this web site (I think), the least I could do is try them first.

Well i'm sure most of the people with AD trucks knows most Jim Carter's AD patch panels are made in USA right there in Missouri or Iowa they do carry some of the overseas stuff now too so you might want to ask. But if you don't plan on your truck being a keeper get the best $ price $.
