I have received my new repro heater / switch cable for my 66 C-10. It came with no knob. The knob on the old cable is some aftermarket goober knob. I don't see replacement thrift air knobs in any of the catalogs. Would I be OK in purchasing a repro wiper knob with the set screw fastener???

Appreciate all!!

Bump this back to the top. I am not real familiar with the thrift set up. Is it a pull or twist function? My mental picture of a cable and a twist knob suggests the set screw might not hold. If pull, I think worth a try.

It's both. The knob pulls a cable to mechanically open a vent and it turns clockwise for low, med, hi blower.

Yes, I wonder about the set screw??? if it will hold or not.

Gee...... I wonder if a a good JB weld would hold it tight?

Some sort of glue or JB weld worth a try.
