It's a project and the owner wants $4400.

Cons... No motor or tranny. No interior whatsoever. No steering column.

Pros... Body looks good and it's all there. Has a new firewall and floor. He has the window cranks, wiper motor, handles and all the other little things. It's registered and owner has the pink in his name.

I guess I'm trying to talk myself into it. $4400 won't get you much more in SoCal. Any opinions?

I would say it's perfect if you're looking to build up a truck anyway. Not as convenient if you're wanting a stock truck.

Welcome to the Stovebolt page!

38 is a nice rare truck. You don't see too many of them running around. The fact that is doesn't have an engine and transmission means the options are endless to build it the way you want.

Stock steering columns can be found. Keep your eyes on Ebay and Craigslist.

Keep up posted.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
