There is nothing advanced about how to get the wing and roll up windows installed in this door of these trucks. Shut the light off and slammed the door in the shop. Hopefully the garage will be burned down by morning.

We all know how you feel. No matter what era truck. It's all about attitude and what else is going on in truck town. It's no harder than putting together IKEA furniture. So...........kind of hard. Wish I had a garage. If I did, I would never complain about anything and would go to church every Sunday.

Well I hear ya Bart, today is a new day and the garage is still standing Brad. I am going to attack this with a fresh mind plus a band aid on my finger from the glass cut I got yesterday.
I do have a sneaking suspicion that the culprit is too tight of window channel felt.

The absence of beer often plays into the picture. I once restored a 1967 Olds 4-4-2 top to bottom, left to right. Except for two things. the fly windows in the front doors.

Measure glass, measure channel opening, measure 2x thickness of setting tape. Then do the math to see if it will be a secure fit or a major interference fit.

Use soap

Well I got one door done today, I can't imagine people on the assembly line 60 years ago screwing around with this as it is inching its way down the track.

It is like I have always said.
"Patience will rule the day."
"Organization is the key to success."
And, "Don't over think things."

I have never done any of those things mentioned above. They would probably be productive for most.

I'm a maniacal tool chucker, and a serial cusser, utilizing unheard of combinations of very bad words.
I have never wished a shop burnt down. I have certainly been pushed that far, just never passed my mind. For that I thank you. That is what this site is all about. Helping one another.
Carl
