Has anyone done this if so what brackets did you use for alt and a/c | | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 Crusing in the Passing Lane | | Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | Before going too far, what about your heat budget? Brackets will have to be made, shorter engine will give flatter floor, etc.

The 235 does pretty well for what it is but some times I would like more power. with the air on and going up long hills the temp stays right around 180 which is what the thermostat is. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,384 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,384 | I was asked to put an LS1 (2014 corvette) into a 51 COE. Didn't think it was possible so I mocked the whole thing up, Dummy engine block and transmission, Corvette manifolds (block hugging) and motor mounts. Had the body off the frame exposing the additional cab support structure of a COE. The taper in the frame rails and the support structure as well as the cross member made it out of the question for any one except a full custom shop that was equipped to do frame modifications and a lot more. The only possible option would have been to move the engine rearward so far that half of the block would be sticking out behind the cab. Pretty dumb I think.
