"Lock the driver door from inside, then slide across the seat and exit the passenger side."
Seems like the only practical answer, Carl (if you do not want to add a lock on the driver's side).
Worked fine in the good old day, when you parked on the street. You'd never want to get out on the street side of your truck.
Lock the driver door from inside, then slide across the seat and exit the passenger side. Watch a lot of Andy or Barney exit from the squad car.
c'mon guys. let's pay attention.
direct quote from altman latch website
"While all of our latches can be locked from the outside using your stock lock cylinders, you can not lock your Altman Easy Latch from the inside by pushing the handle forward. "
so no, you cannot lock from inside and slide down the seat. thats the entire point of this post. is there any other option BESIDES adding a lock cylinder to the driver door?
maybe another manufacturer retains that ability? i'm googling but not really finding what i need. lots of installation videos but nothing that specifically addresses the ability to lock the door from inside.
