Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 127 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 127 | Ok, most of my pieces (front fenders, doors, hood, etc) have epoxy primer on them and I have pretty much finished phase 1 of the body filler.. what's next? do I get a hose and spray off all of the dust and then spray my first coat of primer on them and then go back and do more body filler or what? What's the next couple of things that I need to do so I can keep the ball rolling? Thanks!

I think if you have covered all your clean, bright blasted metal with a 2K primer, then you are, as they say, golden!
You can Bondo and sand until the cows come home as long as you don't break through that primer coat to metal again. If you do, you will have to seal it.
When you are all done with your Bondo and other fillers, you will coat it all again with 2K again (I think). This will seal the porous body filler and allow all top coats to gloss and dry evenly.
All you care about is keeping any bare metal sealed from the atmosphere.

I guess I'll buy that and go ahead and shoot my frame next week.. then the frame will be done!
