Always done my own suspension on normal cars and trucks but never on anything heavy duty. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | The wheel brgs. are not too difficult. The king pins can be. If they are frozen in the axle it can be a tough job getting them out. The new bushings in the spindle have to be line reamed. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. King pins could still be done mostly by you. If they come out then only need to take spindles to the machine shop to ream or hone bushings. If they don't come out you can remove axle with spindles attached so they can first press the pins out, then fit bushings and ream/hone.
Only difference in a medium duty truck and the smaller ones is weight/size of the parts, they go together the same.
