How hard is it to replace the king pin and a wheel bearing on a medium duty truck? Always done my own suspension on normal cars and trucks but never on anything heavy duty.

The wheel brgs. are not too difficult. The king pins can be. If they are frozen in the axle it can be a tough job getting them out. The new bushings in the spindle have to be line reamed.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

If you can remove wheel bearings and replace that's simple enough.

King pins could still be done mostly by you.
If they come out then only need to take spindles to the machine shop to ream or hone bushings.
If they don't come out you can remove axle with spindles attached so they can first press the pins out, then fit bushings and ream/hone.

Only difference in a medium duty truck and the smaller ones is weight/size of the parts, they go together the same.

I just completed all mine, the hard part for me was getting the old bushings out of the spindle's. We used a press to get them installed and all is great now.
